Quiet and 10 minutes

Week 32's prompt was quiet one of my sons favourite memories of his grandad was when he used to shout quiet as loud as he could at the dinner table when we had all got a bit noisy there used to be quite a few of us at family get togethers. Funnily enough it used to terrify me when I was little don't know wether my dad had mellowed a bit or that my son just got the joke better.
Week's 33 prompt was to spend 10 minutes creating from the stuff around you I'll be honest and said mine took twenty minutes but I really like the effect

The story with the quiet card is cute and humerous, and I LOVE the flowers and colors on the 10 min card!

What a wonderful memory :) your 10 minute card looks A WONDER OF COLOUR AND JEWELS...oops, sorry, hit the caps button by mistake.
In answer to your question, yes I paint most of my backgrounds myself..sometimes I'll 'go over' patterned paper with a paint wash to make it a more appealing colour, but usually I paint onto a blank surface..on the pink one at the bottom I used an old credit card to swipe the paint back and forth, its a great effect, a lot different to a brush..thanks for your comments :)

Hi Val, gorgeous cards. Ilove the 10 min one, so full of colour.

Great to see you are still around. Im kinda struggling to keep up with the forums & can't bring myself to lose valuable crafting time. I hate working full time but it has to be done when you are single!!! I also cut back on a few challenges so I could eat & sleep...lol!!
